Between May 31 and June 23 guests who wish to visit Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge will need a reservation. This reservation is at no additional cost. What this means is regular visitors to Disneyland will not have the option to wait in a stand by line to access this area. A reservation is required. Disneyland Vice President Kris Theiler said, “We’re not going to have a standby line. So, it will be limited solely to those guests that have reservations.” He also says that this reservation is not open ended lasting an entire day, but will be for a “window of time.” Disney hasn’t decided what the duration of time will be. Theiler also said, “We just know that there’s really a lot of anticipation out there in regards to the land. We wanted to try and do as much as we could to address that and to meet that anticipation and that excitement.”
No word yet on how these reservations will be made. But it is said that if you are staying at one of the three Disneyland resort hotels and have valid park admission you will be guaranteed a reservation to Galaxy’s Edge during your stay.
